While the new list is improved, it is still not user friendly and leaves out a number of 'options' we allow for/have notes on. There is no JCQ guidance on restricting what we can use at our centre as an aide memoire - can the list become a global list so it can be personalised for the centre - and at the very list can the list be in alphabetical order please?!
Thanks Joe - in that case we will need the sub category field adding to various reports, am I right in thinking these amendments will be free as part of the new system roll-out, but will need to be requested using the usual method?
Charlotte
Thanks for your suggestions.
To get something added to the list, you can submit a ticket with our help-desk and we will then review this for adding to the list for all schools. Due to this needing to work for all schools we cater for, we weren't able to make this something you could do front end.
In regards to arrangements like Reading Pen and Read Aloud, if you use the sub category field within the arrangement, then you can add the data at a more granular level. The only thing we recommend with this, is that the information is consistent across the system, so the spellings etc need to match exactly, that way reporting is accurate and if we needed to split this out in the future it would be easy to do.
We are also adding an other option to the list which will account for arrangements not in the list currently.

Joe
Wholeheartedly agree.
Reading Pen and Read Aloud are very different and should be their own individual categories. Speech-to-Text is absent, etc.
The March 2025 article on the new functionality said that one of the benefits would be the "Ability to add additional arrangements to candidates, as and when required.", and in the Demo we received we were told that it would be possible to add our own arrangements, however I was told by Support today that the list cannot be edited currently.
